Like all startups, Women's Health Innovation Consulting began with an idea by a passionate advocate who wanted to drive change in the women’s health industry. After battling her own female health disease, founder Bethany Corbin dedicated her legal practice to serving entrepreneurs who want to challenge and disrupt healthcare delivery. Following her work with women’s health founders and organizations, she identified a gap in the legal services available to early and mid-stage femtech startups and female health companies. As a dedicated changemaker, she realized this was her opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the women’s health community. Through a merger of her skills in law and advocacy, she created the first U.S. law firm dedicated to exclusively serving women's health founders.
Bethany is a healthcare innovation, femtech, and privacy attorney on a mission to help thought-leading companies revolutionize the global women’s health sector. Armed with a Healthcare LL.M. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, and certifications in Healthcare Compliance, Healthcare Privacy Compliance, and Information Privacy (CIPP/US), she partners with emerging women’s health companies on the forefront of healthcare transformation to ensure they are building robust, scalable, and legally compliant companies that are ready to lead the industry. Her experience as a former big law attorney, federal appellate clerk, and law school professor uniquely positions her to guide women’s health companies along their journey from small startup to global public company.
Bethany is a strong advocate for women’s health and wellness and is passionate about transforming the way society thinks about human health. She is a recognized thought leader at the intersection of women’s health, law, and technology, and her strategic insights have been featured in top new outlets, including Forbes, Fortune, BBC, NPR, Buzzfeed, The Atlantic, VICE, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, and more. Bethany has testified about the importance of data privacy for reproductive health before the Maryland Cybersecurity Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Consumer Privacy and is an Advisory Board Member for Kisaco Research’s Women’s Health Innovation conference series. Additionally, Bethany’s episode on the HIT Like a Girl Podcast discussing the impact of the Dobbs decision on the healthcare industry won a 2022 Power Press Award. For her dedication to women’s health, Bethany received the 2023 Champion in Healthcare Award as part of the Global HEaL Awards. She was also named a Top 40 On the Rise Young Lawyer by the American Bar Association.
